umm... its so hard to sum up a feeling. What makes me proud? Well, i guess its the fact that its given ME (as an individual) SO very much in terms of opportunity. When you look at the restraints other people have to go through...we are truly blessed. YEs, there are good and bad aspects...but today (especially) i would like to recognize what it HAS given all of us rather than what we would have liked it to! in a nutshell- im Proud. period.

Came across ur blog while surfing. You write well. And about this post.
Things which makes me proud being an Indian. Our Unity in Diversity. Though currently there are lot of things which i dont like in India. Yet rantings not gonna help anyone :)
@prashant proud about many things..though if i've to point out one, it'd be this nation's thirst to end the 'developing nation' tag! i mean, we've progressed a lot in the last half a decade or so. Bunk corruption et al et al..leaving everything behind, i think we've come a long way
I found the reply interesting. Do you really think that having a tag "Developed Country" gonna change the situation in India. Isnt it more like aspiring for a flashy name with no content inside. Isnt there so many things we need to do before we can be proud of our development and call ourself 'Developed'. I had shared similar feelings on this here:
@prashant..don't worry about starting a debate..i love 'em!
well you can't say, there isn't any content in India..there's way more than our pea-brains could ever absorb..we just need to channelise it..there's lots to be done, yes. I totally agree that the current developement is absolutely lopsided, but still, we have more number of people working, better standards of living etc etc..and because the 'developing' tag isn't helping much, we need to doff it and don the 'developed' status!
