On the golden sands
Watching the east autumn sky
Black masses spreading fast and athwart
Up through the darkness
Gazing into eternity, she stands
Amid a belt of ether
Transparent and clear
Ascends the large and calm Jupiter
And as the splendid sun sets
She wishes upon a shooting star
She walks the endless beach in her solitude
In search of a happy refuge
Waiting for the wind to whisper a promise
A promise of love, a promise of life
And looks beyond the high surf
An empty room, an empty heart
She reaches for a paper
To pen a thousand memories to share
Hides more than she reveals
Longs for a kiss that'd wipe her tears
The emptiness kills her
Runs naked into the darkness
Drenched in the bloody rain
Numb to every touch
And to every pain
Had said her love once
'I'll be there forever'
And now forever has come and gone
The burial clouds are low and sullen
Fragments of salvaged hope are fallen
As the full moon rises to its nocturnal throne
She looks at you and the pearls in the oysters
Her soul dances to the moonlight sonata
Its time she opened her box of dreams
And ran to the safety of your arms
Maybe she'll fold the yellow love letters
Maybe the long gone past is now fading away
Maybe the ravening clouds won't be victorious
She's in love with you
And maybe you'll love her too
